want to become a part of SSBOC?

I want to gather many people to take part in SSBOC! So please, don’t be shy and come join the fun!

Make sure to read the rules at some point though, because if anyone of the staff sees you causing problems, then you will be removed.

First thing to do is to send a note saying you want to come join.

Example:

After, you MUST watch this account! Anyone who dose sends a note, and dose not watch will not be added to the list of members. DO NOT LEAVE A COMMENT ON THE FRONT PAGE SAYING YOU WANT TO JOIN!!! I REALLY urge you not to do this, as no one will see it and you might be missed.

Well, after you watch the account and sent the note, you will then be added to the list of members! Now that you are a member you can now submit characters to the combatants area of the members journal! How? Simple! Create your character profile! See my own for my character ‘Lady’ for an example if you need to:

But you will have to make this profile either in a journal or an image on your own account! You will have to meet certain requirements while doing this. [link]

1: you must have (obviously) a profile about that character. where they are from, and such
2: special (or ‘b’ button moves) a total of 4
3: you must have at least one image link in the profile, which will be also submitted into the Gallery of SSBOC (don’t worry, you will get full credit for the image)
4: you have to display both your characters strengths and weaknesses
5: you need a character course! An image is not needed for it at this time, but one would be nice in the future.

While creating you characters profile, be sure to take some things into mind, like extras! A button moves, personality, age, even what their final smash is! Be creative and have fun! If you need help with creating a profile, then note THIS account and you will be sent the name of someone who will then contact who will help you out! However, no one knows your character better than yourself, so keep that in mind!

Here is a quick little tip! Try not to make your character into a god like fighter….that ruins all the fun! And besides, seeing that other people will be deciding if your character makes it into a SSBOC tournament, they will be picking practical and fair characters who suit the Smash Brothers title.

Alright! Now that your profile is done, all you got left to do is to send a new note with a link to where the profile is!

Note: here is my character (insert name), and here is he/she/it’s profile: (include link here)

If the profile is created right on the image you want to use for your character, then please state that as well. (ex: that image is the one I want to submit into the gallery of characters!)

But if the profile is made in a journal like my characters are, then you have to include a link to what image you want for your character.

Note: here is my character (insert name), and here is he/she/it’s profile: (include link here) and also, this image (insert image link) is for the gallery!

As for the characters image, it is what will be used for a reference if your character makes it to an SSBOC tournament, so make sure you like it! If you need help with a picture, than read the rules section! [link] There is a whole part about pictures.. You can only have one image per character, so if you have another one that you like better than the one you currently have in the gallery than note this account.

OK! Your character will then be added to the combatants list! isn’t that great? But you want to add another? Well sure! No problem! You can add as many as you like. But keep it down to 2 characters a week. We don’t want to exhaust to many people with lots of characters! every character needs the same thing done each time a full profile, and an image for the gallery before they get placed into the combatants area.

So now you have a nice list of characters in the combatants area…what is it for? Well part of it is to show off your great character making skills! But mostly it’s for a the main event! The SSBOC picture tournament! When it has been announced in the news that SSBOC has started to recruit a needed amount of characters for the next tournament, then you have to chose what characters you want to submit to the possible roster via note! (max of 5 per person!)

Only characters that are on the combatants list will be accepted! Keep that in mind

Simple! They would then be put on the master list, and after a certain date had passed, the ones in charge of choosing the final roster will take a close look of each character, and how much care went into each one. And then they will select the needed number from, that list, and the final roster is complete!

Please remember though, that only one character per member will be used…so even if you have the 5 ‘best’ characters in the world, only one will make it to the SSBOC picture tournament!. This will allow a great big variety to characters!

actually, to answer a question I've come a crossed, I have you submit your character into the combatant area first for a number of reasons. the big reason being that so I know each character that is summited into the SSBOC list has everything needed...It will not cause a rush when we open the doors for 'tournament' characters, leaving a huge unorganized mess of chaos for me and poor :devjennieO-of-Hyrule:, and ~JonnyBlackmage to clean up!!

if you really want your character to take place in these picture tournaments, then you have to be willing to do the work!
